On Walls

We like to set up walls,
between spaces.
Such that, you can face someone
and not know they are there.

With a whole wall between you
you, needn’t care.
The wall is the illusion, and
the actualisation of a barrier.

With it there,
You needn’t know the other person
is there.
Because of it, you don’t.
